London, UK - - September 21, 2006 - - IQ Glass is new to the UK market.
IQ Glass is a technological breakthrough. It is double-glazing simultaneously functioning as a radiant heating system. It provides an extremely effective radiant heat while saving dramatically on energy use. It helps solve all the problems associated with glass, such as cold window surfaces, condensation, cold drafts & dust produced by convectional currents. IQ Glass has recently installed its heated glass in the world famous Terracotta Army Museum in China. It has successfully completed hundreds of projects with many satisfied customers all over the world, including Europe, USA and China.
IQ Glass Function
IQ Glass is electrically heated double-glazing that quickly and effectively radiates an even distribution of heat to sustain the perfect room temperature you desire.
On the insides of both panes of IQ Glass double-glazing units there coatings of transparent metal oxide. The inside pane acts an an electrical resistor creating radiant heat. The outer pane reflects the heat generated back inside, it also has the advantage of aiding to block unwanted heat outside in the summer.
IQ Glass Technical Specification
IQ Glass is tempered safety glass. Minimum glass size: 350mm x 500mm. Maximum glass size: 2500mm x 3680mm. Glass thickness: 4mm to 10mm. Light Transmission (LTA): 71 %. Solar Factor (ZTA): 41 to 44 %. IQ Glass uses Edgetech Super Spacer, size 6mm to 16mm.
U-Value
A non-toxic, insulating gas called Krypton is sealed within the panes of IQ Glass, achieving an amazing level of thermal insulation, currently unbeaten in the industry.
The U-Value of IQ Glass is 0.84 Watt/m2K (Krypton gas). This U-Value clearly reveals that IQ Glass is a milestone in the history of glazing.

The two main tests were performed by Hydro Quebec - Canadian electricity provider - Reference nr: LTE-RT-03727-2002 and CEBTP - French test centre - Reference nr: 2336.6.187.
